Sharing my Experience with
ICOSS 2022 | Anthi Psoma
Hello everybody! Our participation at the 9th International Conference on Social Sciences, which was successfully completed on September 16, 2022, was a great, memorable and special experience for me, so I decided to write down my thoughts about it.
The title of our paperwork was: "An Intervention Program to Promote Preschoolers' Collaboration through Robotics". We studied in depth a wealth of research and we found out that a recent trend in preschool education is the exploration of how to combine the digital and the soft skills in a playful way in order to increase children's participation, and therefore, to accelerate their learning.
The purpose of our work was to present a comprehensive intervention program, which was called "Our Teamwork Bee-hive", that appeared to be promising to promote preschoolers' collaboration through robotics so that collaborative learning can be attained. All steps related to the reasoning and the implementation of the intervention program were described in detail, highlighting the soft skill of collaboration through robotics.
I was lucky enough to work with two amazing colleagues, and now my good friends, Stefanos Merliaoundas and Pelagia Perperidou. Our relationship has always been characterized by mutual respectal and perfect communication. It is worth mentioning that I 'm so proud of my colleague, Stefanos, who made a wonderful presentation for our team and he won an "Overall Best Presenter" award!!!
It was, also, our honor to present our work to all of you and we hope you enjoyed our presentation! It was a great opportunity for me and my colleagues to present our intervention program to the network with more than 80 presenters from over 35 countries! Congratulations to all and especially to Keerthi Chandana for organizing this international event.
Lastly, we would like to sincerely thank our three amazing Professors of the Interdepartmental Master's Program "Digital and Soft Skills in Education" of the International Hellenic University of Greece, Eri Zachopoulou, Maria Tsitiridou & Maria Stamatoglou, for the encouragement and guidance they provided us throughout our preparation for the conference.
